Course Description

This 18-hour course will teach you to train and design programs for active individuals and athletes with performance goals. Today’s active clients need to do more than lift weights to bulk up or run on the treadmill to lose weight. Many clients today want to train to run 10K in less time, to jump higher in basketball or hit the ball harder in tennis. To help such clients achieve performance goals requires an understanding of the movement skills, muscles and types of energy system being used in various activities. It also requires a grasp of how to prevent injuries related to such activities. You will learn specific movement preparation, training to improve movement skills, muscular strength and explosive force production as well as how to improve energy system efficiency.
